According to a modern scholar – and you know how they are –

it is possible that the Trojan Horse was actually a boat!

It has been suggested by Italian naval archaeologist Francesco Tiboni,

that the term in the Iliad, hippos, meaning horse,

was also the term in the era for a combat vessel with a horse’s head.
