In 1934, eight men were fined $1 each ….

… for bathing topless at Coney Island.

A year later, there was a protest of 42 men

who paraded down the beach … topless.

They were each fined $2.

The reason:  It was declared,

“We’ll have no gorillas on the beaches.”
