Billy the Kid

Yes, you have seen this photograph many times before.  It is Billy the Kid, circa 1878. So, What’s the big deal?  Well, for a century everyone believed Billy the Kid was lefthanded. That’s because his ‘free’ hand in this photo was on the left. Actually this is in error.  This was a daguerreotype which reversed the image. Billy the Kid was right-handed yet this photo shows him left-handed.  What’s the big deal? Be careful what you believe to be true. Just because ‘the crowd’ believes something, it may not necessarily be true. Whether it is a Presidential rally, a news program, juicy rumor or what a ‘tried and true’ source tells you, do your own due diligence. What you see is not necessarily what is there. https://www.authormasterminds.com/steve-levi
