This is one of those “Really?!” photographs

This is one of those “Really?!” photographs. This is actually an excellent representation of our brains in an election year. Nothing is organized, everything is chaos and all we know for sure is the end of the trip is coming soon and we want to arrive ‘in one piece.’ Anyone can ‘pile it on’ as long as the trip is a short one. But the fact of the matter is your ‘election brain’ is like this pickup. The people, parties and issues are a jumble but you have to finish the trip.  Welcome to Democracy.  It’s been alive and somewhat well for more than two and a half centuries.  But it you only ‘finish the trip’ if you vote.  www.authormasterminds.com/steve-levi

Steve Levi is an Alaskan writer who specializes in the Alaska Gold Rush (nonfiction) and the ‘impossible crime,’ (fiction.)  An ‘impossible crime’ is one where the detective must figure out HOW the crime was committed before going after the perpetrators – like a Greyhound bus with bank robbers and hostages disappearing off the Golden Gate Bridge –THE MATTER OF THE VANISHING GREYHOUND.
