Bewildering Stories biography
Steven Levi is a freelance technical writer living in Anchorage, Alaska. A resident of Alaska for many decades, he has published more than 75 books in fields as diverse as history, Western, travel, poetry, how-to, texts, young adult, fiction, humor and aviation.
He also produces educational software. His current passion is using history as education and his innovative concept — which can be seen at www.parsnackle.com — recently won the Thatcher Hoffman Smith Award for “Creativity in Motion.”
His latest book is The Clara Nevada, a true crime investigation of Alaska’s ghost ship, which sank in 1898 and resurfaced in 1908. His historical investigation revealed the sinking of the Clara Nevada to have been a robbery, the largest unreported theft in American history: $17 million, about twice the size of the Brink’s Job, combined with the largest mass murder in American history (165 dead) until the Oklahoma City bombing.
